This section deals with the above matters 24 hours of the day, 365 days of the year at the main School site based around Houghton Street (it does not deal with these matters at the halls of residence).
OFFICIAL SCHOOL CLOSURE
Public Holiday Monday 29 August 2016
We would like to inform all staff and students of the access arrangements - on the main School campus - for the Public Holiday in August 2016:
Emergencies will be dealt with by a Security service on duty at the Old Building reception.
We recommend that staff only attend for work if absolutely necessary on Monday 29 August 2016.
LSE staff working in Aldwych House, 95 Aldwych and Queens House will need to give the building security staff advance notice if they wish to attend for work on Monday 29 August 2016. LSE Staff working 1 Kingsway will be able to access the building user their 1KW access card.
Study areas and computer facilities will be available at the following locations and at the following times on production of LSE ID Card:
Shaw Library, Old Building 4th Floor Restaurant, Teaching Rooms and OLD B.25: 08:00 - 21:00
NAB open spaces: 08:00 - 21:00
32LIF open spaces and teaching and seminar rooms: 08:00 - 21:00
Saw Swee Hock Building: 08:00 - 21:00
Postgraduates will be able to gain entry to School Buildings between 08:00 – 21:00 on production/use of the LSE ID Card
Library opening times
8AM – MIDNIGHT
Halls of Residences are open throughout with staff cover as normal over the closure period.
Three halls, Carr Saunders, Passfield and Rosebery operate as bed and breakfast hotels - single rooms £47 per night including full English Breakfast, double / twin rooms from £66 per night - staff and students get a 10% discount - book online at: http://www.lsevacations.co.uk/Home.aspx

Crime reporting - To report a crime on campus please contact the security control room on extension 2000 (020 7955 6200) or call in person to the main reception/security desk at Old Building in Houghton Street.
