Mamselle, Janine and their team aim to provide children at the LSE Nursery with a happy, safe and stimulating environment.
The LSE Nursery welcomes children of past and present staff, students and non LSE related parents.
Staff will help your child with emotional, social, physical and intellectual development. We encourage positive attitudes, and help develop confidence and self-esteem.
By offering flexible hours and half-day care, we help parents achieve a better work/life balance. And our central London location, in a quiet street between Covent Garden and Holborn stations and close to the LSE campus, means you can cut down on commuting time.

Your child will join one of our playgroups: the Hungry Hippos, Cheeky Monkeys, Tiger Cubs or Lion Cubs. Each group has its own playroom with age-appropriate toys and activities on offer.
To see what a typical day at the nursery is like in each room, visit: A day at the nursery.
Our food is home cooked in our on-site kitchen, which allows us to be flexible and to cater for most special requirements eg allergies. Where we can, we opt for local fresh ingredients and our regular eating routines promote healthy eating habits. Also see: Meals, snacks and drinks
There is a covered outside play area, and we make excursions to local parks several times a week. Also see: Nursery garden
All our nursery officers have achieved NVQ Level 3. Our nursery assistants have a relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification, with some working towards a Level 3. To see who's working at the nursery, visit our Who's who.
The LSE Nursery works very closely with the government’s guidelines for Early years provisions as laid down in the Revised Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage [PDF]. The seven learning goals form part of this framework.
This is due to come into force on the 1st of September 2012. We are in the process of updating our files in readiness for that time
