Freya’s day

Freya greeted me with a hug this morning, and we said our goodbyes to her mummy.

First, our room settled down for circle time and we all sang some nursery rhymes. Freya wanted to sing ‘Row, Row, Row Your Boat’, which we did, with all the actions.

Then we had 'messy play' exploring different paint colours. Freya preferred to paint herself rather than the paper, but we cleaned up her face and hands afterwards, so that she wouldn't  go home looking like a walking rainbow.

She ate well at lunch.  We had fruit for desert; grapes are her favourites. I gave her two grapes at a time, and Freya kept asking for "more, more, more please!"

Finally, it was time for Freya to get some sleep. Her special sleep comforter is to hold my hand and stroke my palm until her little eyes close.

As the we had wonderful weather today we decided to visit our local play park. Freya really enjoys swinging on the swings. Then we had fun on the slide going up and down again and again.

Back at the Nursery we had a creative play session, sticking different colour tissue onto paper. We left the completed work aside to dry so Freya can take it home later.

Home time:  When her mummy picked Freya up, she greeted her with a big hug and said her good byes.
