Safety inspections

Health and safety coordinators will make arrangements for carrying out regular safety inspections of the work places used by their department or service, in order to identify hazards and unsafe situations and take appropriate remedial action. The frequency of inspections will depend on the activity being undertaken and hazards present. Hazardous workplaces such as kitchens or workshops will need to be inspected at a greater frequency than less low risk environments such as offices.
