The School’s Memorandum and Articles of Association (M&As) are more than 100 years old and have been ‘tinkered’ with over the years by means of special resolutions passed by the Court of Governors. They have never been radically overhauled to ensure that they are consistent with current legislation and will be ‘fit for the future’. The Review of Council Effectiveness 2011-12 recommended some changes to School governance which can only be implemented by updating the Articles.

All members of the School community are warmly invited to review the first draft of the new Articles and to submit comments. This all-School consultation will run until the close of play on Friday 6 June 2014. At that stage all of the feedback will be analysed and used to refine the document to produce a second draft for further discussion in School committees throughout the Summer Term.
