Terms of reference

The terms of reference for the Doctoral Programme Directors Forum will be:

  1. To consider thematic issues of shared interest to Doctoral Programme Directors and make recommendations to the School’s Committees where areas of shared concern might need to be addressed.
  2. It shall meet twice annually and more often if required.
  3. Its membership shall consist of: the Research Degrees Sub-Committee Chair (who will also be the Forum Chair); a Doctoral Programme Director from each academic department/institute; a PhD Administrator from each academic department/institute; the Graduate Dean; the Teaching and Learning Centre Director; the Academic & Professional Development Adviser to PhD Students & Research Staff, TLC; representative of the Graduate Admissions Office; and representative of the Financial Support Office.
  4. The Forum will be supported by a member of the Research Degrees Unit
