Terms of reference

To represent the views of consumers and tender advice to the Head of Catering on catering services provided by the School.

Mode of operation

  1. To consider matters referred by members of the User Group or by Catering Services from feedback, surveys or other sources.
  2. To consider matters that the Head of Catering may seek opinion or advice on.
  3. To refer to the Academic and Student Affairs Committee at its discretion catering policy issues arising from the Group’s discussions which have a bearing on the student experience.
  4. To consider matters related to Catering Services referred by appropriate School committees.

Membership

  • A Member of the Academic Staff to be appointed as Chair with the agreement of the Academic Nominations Committee
  • Student Union Community & Welfare Officer
  • Student Union Ethics & Environment Officer
  • Student Union International Officer
  • A Student representative elected from each catered Hall of Residence
  • A representative of the Senior Common Room
  • A representative of the Staff Wellbeing Group
  • A representative of the Estates Division
  • A representative of the Academic Departments and Research Centres
  • A representative of the Conference and Events Office
  • The Chair or Secretary of the Wine Advisory group
