Contacting the Fees Office

The Fees Office is a small team, which manages everything about student money (except when it comes to making any decisions on giving scholarships or awards). We are part of the Finance Division in a large shared open plan office unsuitable for personal callers. We provide all our services via the following:

Email

We answer most email enquiries within 3-5 working days. During the Registration period replies will take a little longer. Please do not send email to individual staff which might not be read for up to two weeks if that person is away from their desk. Drop-in sessions

We are available at the Student Service Centre daily between 2.00pm and 3.00pm*. No appointment needed. The session ends when the list has been completely cleared. A private interview room is also available.

*Please be advised that our drop in service only runs on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday outside of term between the hours on 2.00pm and 3.00pm.

Booked appointments

The Manager and Deputy are pleased accept booked appointments requiring their expertise or authority. Simply telephone to book an appointment for a time to suit you, then we meet you at the Student Service Centre where we have a private interview room. However, please don't ask to see a manager for routine transactions which could block other students from getting help.

Telephone enquiries

We are a small team, not a call centre, and open 09:30-17:00. At busy times of the year (Registration) and at busy times of the day (12:30-13:30 and 16:00-17:00) you may experience long waits if there is no free line. We do not have spare staff to help because we believe you would prefer to speak to fully experienced staff rather than to someone who is unlikely to have the knowledge you seek.
