General student talks

The LSE Fees Office will be offering a series of presentations during September and October which will introduce students to the services we offer. The presentations will be complimented by a short question and answer session.

Topics to be addressed include:

  • Payment Plans
  • How to Pay & When to pay
  • Understanding your LSE for You Statement
  • Fees initiatives
  • Early payment reward
  • Loans

Please note these presentation will not cover US Direct lending, there will be separate presentations offered on this topic.

US Federal Loan awareness sessions

The LSE Fees Office will be offering a series of presentations which will introduce students to key information they need to know about US Federal loans.

The presentation will last for an average of 30 - 45 minutes followed by a short question and answer session. If you are interested why not book a ticket now.

Student Loans Company

The Fees Office will be delivering presentations which will introduce students to key information they need to know about their Student Finance funding.

The presentation will last for an average of 30 minutues followed by a short question and answer session. 

Topics to be discussed will include:

  • Rights and responsibilities
  • Tuition Fee Loans
  • Receiving your maintenance loans
  • Understanding your LSE for you Statement

Santander:Talks on Banking in the UK

A general talk will be given by Santander Univeristies on:

  • Opening an account
  • Advice about effectively managing your account
  • Fundamentals of banking in the UK
  • International payments
  • Internet Banking
  • PAYM Mobile Payments
  • Security

** The LSE and Santander Universities have been working together to launch general talks about banking in the UK. Please note that the LSE are neither endorsing nor promoting Santander banking services.

Registration

The Fees Office will be based within the Student Services Centre from 29/9-10/10 inclusive.

We will be available to see students from 10.00 - 16.00.

Services offered during registration:

  • Award cheques: You will receive an email advising you when your cheque is available to collect, please remember to bring your award letter and student ID card.
  • US Loan cheques: You will receive an email from the Fees Office advising you that the first disbursement of your US loan cheque is available for collection, please note your fees and accommodation (if residing in an LSE residence) will be deducted first. Please remember to bring your student ID card,
  • Paying Fees: Please note the Fees Office does not process payments, if you would like to pay your fees by credit or debit card please log into LSE for You. If you would like to pay by cheque you can either call into the Student Services Centre and drop your cheque in our drop box alternatively you can post it.
  • Documents and forms to be signed: There will be a fast track desk for students who wish to hand in documents for certification, please note these documents will not be completed at the counter. You can track the progress of your request via the iTracker.
  • Information leaflets: The fees Office have produced a series of leaflets which answer common questions, you can collect a copy from the Student Services Centre or download a copy here: At a Glance Leaflets
