Green Impact is an environmental accreditation and awards scheme run by the National Union of Students which aims to bring staff and students together to enable and showcase positive changes in environmental practice.
In 2013 the Finance Division received a Silver Green Impact award and we hope to improve on this achievement in 2014.
The team for 2013/14 are Rebecca Sage, Kristy Rottenberry and Michael Herlihy. If you would like to get involved or have any energy saving ideas then please contact one of us.
This year we have actively supported fair trade fortnight by raising awareness about fair trade food by providing a selection of fair trade snacks for staff in the division. Our staff have also recently run events to raise money for Sports Relief and Cancer Research.
The LSE Purchasing Guide, which is produced by the Finance Division, now includes a section on Green Procurement
The Finance Division have made all of their publications available online and reducing the amount of documents physically printed. This includes the annual accounts, purchasing guide and Accounts Payable user guide. These documents are located within the relevant sections of the Finance Division website.
This year we have so many green tips that we have split them into two separate newsletters:
2014 Sustainability Newsletter 1
2014 Sustainability Newsletter 2
