Statements5 is the School’s new suite of financial reports for budget controllers and signatories. It is accessed via a web browser and replaces the previous Excel based Statements4. The reports within Statements5 allow users to:
-
Compare actual expenditure against available budget and forecasts
-
View details of all transactions posted to a budget code
-
View images of scanned accounts payable invoices and expense claims
Access to Statements5
Existing Statements4 users can contact the Financial System team (aptos@lse.ac.uk) who will grant access to the new reports.
New users should complete a new user request form and submit it to the Financial Accounting team (finance.division.accountrequest@lse.ac.uk) who will then grant permissions to view budget codes. Once this is completed the Financial Systems team will grant access to Statements5.
Opening Statements5
Statements5 does not require an additional password as it uses the LSE’s active directory. To access Statements5 you should either be logged onto a PC on campus or connected to the LSE network via the remote desktop.
A shortcut to Statements 5 can be accessed via:
Start > All Programs > Administrative Applications > Aptos Reports > Statements5 Live
Training
A number of help pages are included within Statements5, and can be accessed from each report. These include details of how to run the reports, the information available and a detailed glossary. In addition to this resource there are regular ‘Statements5 Surgeries’ planned where staff are invited to discuss any questions they have with the Financial Systems team.
