Financial Regulations

If you would like to be sent a hard copy of the 2013 Financial Regulations please email financecomments@lse.ac.uk. The 2013 Financial Regulations are available electronically via the link on the right.

The LSE Financial Regulations set out the responsibility for finance within the School and the financial procedures to be followed by Governors and School staff.

It is the responsibility of heads of departments and spending units to make sure that staff are aware of the existence and content of these regulations and that an adequate number of copies are available in their departments for reference purposes. Compliance with the Financial Regulations and procedures is compulsory for all staff connected with the School.

You can search the Financial Regulations document via the Edit button on your toolbar as follows:

  • Go to your toolbar at the top of your screen and click on 'Edit'
  • From the drop down menu, select 'Find' (a search bar will open)
  • Click on the 'Find' drop down arrow on the left of the bar and select 'Open full acrobat search' to open the search tool
  • In the 'What word or phrase would you like to search for?' bar, type in the word(s) you would like to search for
  • In the next row 'Where would you like to search?' select 'In the current PDF document'
  • Scroll down and click on 'Search'

The Accounts Payable User Guide and Purchasing Guide are available through the links on the right, as are guidelines on air travel class and use of taxis.

 Members of staff in the Finance Division are always willing to help staff in departments who have queries about these regulations or any financial procedures.
