In line with the LSE Sustainability Policy, the first point of reference is our ReUse stock and only if furniture cannot be supplied from the existing stock will new furniture be ordered. The Furniture ReUse stock is compiled by using only good quality furniture resulting from internal office moves and the return of redundant items by staff. This can be arranged by completing an online request form. Please contact Estates Help Desk at Estates-Help-Desk@lse.ac.uk to discuss your requirements, or complete the online request form. We aim to contact you to discuss your request within three working days of receipt, see our Furniture SLA's (PDF) for more information.
There is a brief reference below to guide you to the type of furniture we have in the ReUse stock. Have a look – this may be exactly what you need and by giving unwanted items another life you are reducing the School's environmental impact.
Please note at present this service is restricted to staff working at the LSE. Students and staff working from home may get an opportunity at a later stage to request furniture.
If we cannot find the required item from the ReUse stock we will discuss options to order new furniture.
