Spectrum is the LGBT+ staff network at LSE. We represent staff from lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and other minority sexual orientation and gender identities.
If you work at LSE and you’d like to make sure your voice is heard, why not join Spectrum? Contact spectrum@lse.ac.uk or sign up to our mailing list here. All staff who are supportive of LGBT+ equality are welcome, including graduate teaching assistants, freelancers and contractors.
Spectrum holds open meetings once a month. There is an agenda but it's also an informal space to get together and chat. All are welcome to attend.

Spectrum is the LSE LGBT+ staff network. We represent staff from lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and other minority sexual orientation and gender identities.
Founded in May 2008 by three LSE staff members, Spectrum has come a long way in eight years and is now an officially recognised channel for ensuring LGBT+ inclusion at LSE. Spectrum was delighted to have been awarded the Citizenship Team Award at the inaugural LSE Values in Practice (VIP) Awards in 2015.

James Deeley
James Deeley works in the Department of Media and Communications as Research Manager. James has been a member of the Spectrum committee since 2010 and is a former Chair.
Andra Fry (Co-Chair)
Andra Fry is an Academic Support Librarian in the LSE Library. She joined the Spectrum committee in 2014 became Co-Chair in summer 2016.
Daniel Payne
Daniel Payne is a Curator for the Politics and International Relations collections at LSE Library. He joined the Spectrum committee in 2016.
Hayley Reed (Co-Chair)
Hayley Reed joined the Spectrum committee in 2013 and became Co-Chair in summer 2015. She is Marketing Project Manager in the Communications Division.
Andrew Sherwood
Andrew Sherwood is Centre Manager at LSE Cities and former Spectrum Chair.
Chris Thomas
Chris Thomas is Assistant Professor of Law at LSE Law.
Gillian Urquhart
A founder member of Spectrum in 2008 and its first Chair, Gillian Urquhart is Department Manager of the Department of Methodology.

Galop is London’s LGBT anti-violence and abuse charity, providing advice and support to people who have experienced biphobia, homophobia, transphobia, sexual violence or domestic abuse.
