Calling all professional women!
Power Conference: Resilience and Confidence - 29th June 2016
We had a fantastic time at the conference, and hope those of you who attended did too. We've sent out a feedback form and it would be great if you could complete it so we can see what went well, what less so, and what we should definitely do again! If you haven't received your feedback form via Qualtrics please contact us by email. Thank you for coming along and making it such an amazing event! We look forward to hearing from you.

'Above the Parapet' events
LSE 'Above the Parapet' is running as series of lectures with inspiring women in public life.
The initiative seeks to capture the experiences of high profile women who have shaped public life by exploring answers to questions on their way into those positions, hurdles they overcame or withstood and how the lessons learned from these experiences benefit women who follow. LSE Power members are welcome to attend.
There are no current events advertised.
The Power Network was created in early 2015 in response to an initiative by LSE's Equality and Diversity team to set up a number of informal staff networks. Power is proud to work alongside Spectrum (for LGBT staff), Embrace (for BME staff) and the Gender Equality Forum (started by academic women to represent their concerns).
See Staff networks for information about all staff networks.
Power's aims reflect the outcome of a 'brainstorming' session held in December 2014, where a large group of professional services women recognised there was a need for a dedicated staff network for women and came together to talk about what they wanted.
Purpose of the LSE Power network
-
Actively inform changes to LSE policy and culture to bring about greater gender equality, through representation, consultation and monitoring
-
Provide a forum where members can share their experiences and learn from one another
-
Encourage members to realise their potential within LSE
-
Hold termly events that facilitate the aims of the network and the interests of the members
Who is the network for?
The network was created for women* in a professional services support role at LSE, at any grade, in any academic department or service division, at any point in their career at LSE. (*in this instance the term ‘women’ is defined as those who identify themselves as female.)
Whilst the network was founded by, and focusses on, female professional services support staff, our events are open to anyone regardless of gender and men are welcome to join our mailing list. Anyone who wishes to join should contact us by email.
