The Access to Work scheme is aimed at providing financial support for adjustments in the work place. There are a range of adjustments available to support disabled people in employment. These may take the form of adjustments to behaviour and working practices but some may involve the purchase of equipment or support.
If additional costs are to be incurred, you can apply for funding through the government’s Access to Work scheme.
Whilst the only adjustments they will pay for at interview stage are those involving communication support, the Access to Work scheme will pay for most adjustments that are required once a person is in paid employment.
