Please see below for information on how to go about organising a student society event.

Essential steps

Please follow all these steps to arrange an event:

• Check who can book venues for society events: see Student Societies. Each society must complete a SU Society- Room Booking Agreement. 
• Read the information on Controversy, security and free speech and Gender Segregation.
• Safety, accessibility and assessing risks, including Accessibility & Special Requirements, Event Safety, Risk Assessment and Stewarding
• Practical arrangements including setting up, clearing down and cleaning
• Please ensure the following documents are provided in advance of the event to the speaker/s and the chairperson. Guidelines for Speakers and Notes on Chairing an event helpful.
