Booking the NAB Lower Ground Floor
The New Academic Building lower ground floor area can be used for for drinks receptions or registration for conferences alongside events booked into the lecture theatres.
The lower ground floor area can only be booked if you have also booked one or more of the lecture theaters on the same floor. Its availability also depends on other events taking place in the area at the same time. The area must be booked in advance through the Room Bookings Office, please email us lse.roombookings@lse.ac.uk.
Providing catering
The lower ground area must be fully serviced by LSE Catering Services, it is not permitted to bring in outside catering.
As this is a communal area, for catered events you may wish to have staff assisting to ensure that only your guests access the catering you have provided. Alternatively you can hire LSE Conference Office stewards to cordon off an area for catering outside the theatre you have booked.
After your event
Any displays or other materials set up in the lower ground area during your event must be removed by the end of your booking, the Room Bookings office do not have any storage facilities available.
