Guidance notes

  1. Orders should be made as early as possible, 10 days in advance for receptions, lunches, dinners etc and three for beverage, breakfast, sandwich services etc.

    We will always endeavour to provide your special catering requirements but there will be times when we are fully committed. It is therefore advisable to book you event as far ahead as possible
    .
     
  2. Hospitality Catering Services are provided in a number of specific rooms and buildings. Please see availability by each menu selection.
     
  3. Rooms for catering purposes must be booked with the Conference Office before booking any Catering Services. Both the Catering and Conference Offices can advise on suitable rooms for catering including room capacity.
     
  4. Orders must be made on the appropriate Catering Order Form. The method of payment details must be completed and authorised before an order can be accepted.
     
  5. Prices exclude VAT (except where noted on the menus) and apply to catering provided between 8.30.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday. A surcharge may be applied for catering provided outside these hours.  An additional charge may be applied for events that finish later than 10pm. Weekend catering is by special quotation
     
  6. Amendments to numbers must be confirmed no later than 2 full working days prior to the event. Late cancellations may be charged at the full price.
     
  7. We will always try to accommodate special dietary requirements if advance notice is given.
    Items that are suitable for vegetarians are indicated as (v)

    NB Please note that as our kitchens have mixed use we cannot guarantee that any specific ingredient is completely without trace
     
  8. Only limited catering services are available during August
     
  9. All catering areas and facilities (including Director's Dining Room, Chairman's Dining Room, Senior Common Room and Staff Dining Room) are available for catering purposes only.
     
  10. Catering (including the provision of alcohol) on School premises may only be provided by LSE Catering Services or Student Union, or in exceptional circumstances, by the external caterers officially appointed by the Head of Catering. Alcohol can only be provided in licensed areas by the designated licensee.

  12. Fully serviced events
    We will have the rooms prepared and cleared by us - with food laid out or served as appropriate - all you need to do is turn up!
     
  13. Deliveries
    Deliveries are made within 15 minutes of your chosen delivery time. Please advise us when you have finished your meeting and we will clear crockery, etc., from the room.
     
  14. Collections.
    If we provide food, beverages etc to you on a collection basis, all crockery, flasks, etc must be returned immediately after use otherwise the full serviced price, together with any breakages and/or missing items, will be charged for. Collections should be made before 5 pm.
