Students can register on an LSE degree and earn a qualification from a partner institution in specific circumstances. The types of 'degree' education we offer with partners is summarised below and an authoritative list of our double and joint degree programmes can be found here|:
-
Double degree programmes are offered in conjunction with a partner institution. They are normally of two years duration with students studying one year at LSE and one year at the partner institution. In some cases all students start at the same institution and move to the second; in other cases students may start at either institution. Upon successful completion of a double degree programme, a student is awarded the Masters degree or equivalent from both institutions.
-
Joint degree programmes are offered jointly with one or more partner institution(s), with students spending time at two or more institutions. Upon successful completion of the programme, the student receives a single degree, which is awarded jointly by LSE and the partner institution(s).
-
Other opportunities include the potential to combine a degree programme at LSE with study at another institution. These schemes typically involve the studying of two separate degrees successively, which allow the student to obtain both qualifications in a shorter period when combined together. An authoritative list of these opportunities can be found in the School's Graduate Prospectus.
