Bookings are now open for events at this year’s Teaching Symposium, which takes place on Tuesday 27 May in the New Academic Building.
This year’s events aim once again to enable reflection on and a celebration of teaching and learning at LSE, with opportunities also for meeting colleagues across the School.
Breakfast café: The buzz of teaching, 09:30-10:45
Winners of this year’s LSE teaching prizes will be in conversation over breakfast. Join them at an informal, café-style gathering to share what works well in your classrooms. Free coffee, juice and pastries!
Plenary discussion: Assessment and learning, 11:00-12:45
This session combines an overview of assessment practice in UK HE from a recent national survey conducted by the Higher Education Academy with examples of broadening assessment presented by academics from three LSE departments, followed by an open discussion on assessment and learning.
Networking lunch, 12:45-14:00
A short film featuring several of 2013's Major Review Award winners, as well as interviews and details of all winners, can be found on our LSE teaching prizes page.
Programmes and information from previous teaching events at the School can be found on the following pages: Teaching Day 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012; Teaching Symposium 2013.
