Welcome! As a PhD student at LSE, you are part of a vibrant community of researchers working on some of the most interesting social science questions of our time. Submissions are now open to Strictly Come Researching|, a new competition for PhD students and those within five years of completing their PhDs. Make your research count in the real world!

Applications for British Federation of Women Graduates (BFWG)| scholarships are now open! All women studying for doctorates at British universities are eligible, with awards usually between £2,500 and £6,000. The current applications round closes on Friday 27 March 2015.
LSE Research Festival is looking for participants for a public engagement event - Social Science Soapbox|. If you are looking to share your research with a wider audience and want to talk part in a public engagement training then this could be the opportunity for you.
Registration for this year's LSE Africa Summit Research and Business Conference| (17-18 April) are now open! The theme for the 2015 conference (now in its second year) will be "Innovative Governance". Guest speakers include Wole Soyinka, Mamphele Ramphele, Toyin Saraki  and Judge Ibrahim Maged. Tickets are free but must be applied for.
