LSE alumni are invited to a talk and networking event, on the evening of 7 November, with current students on the LSE Executive Global Master's in Management. The students visit Beijing on a yearly basis as part of an overseas module in China.

Keynote Speakers: Hefei Xu (Jessica) and Leo Wang

Title: Tech Entrepreneurship in China - Iris Recognition and Beyond
Speaker Bios:  Hefei Xu (Jessica) is an LSE alumna, completing her MSc International Employment Relations & Human Resource Management in 2009 in the Department of Management at LSE. Since her graduation from LSE, Jessica has gone on to co-create a leading tech company in China.
Dr. Leo Wang, Ph.D. obtained his degree from University of Bath, UK in 2007. He specializes in the fields of Signal and Image Processing, Biometrics and AI. Dr. Wang has been responsible for the EU Robot project as a researcher of COGNIRON, worked in ARM HQ, Shell UK as a Geoscientist, and delegated as technology expert to advise the High-definition image broadcast for Beijing Olympics in 2008. He is also the member of Biometrics, SEG, EAGE and IEEE.
Eyesmart Technology Ltd. is a high-tech iris recognition company engaged in iris core algorithm, software, database, hardware device, cloud service, with total iris solutions. Presently, EyeSmart possesses more than 60 patents worldwide and its business activities spread all over the world, including the US, Europe, Japan, India, and Africa. In 2016, EyeSmart ranked in 1st among 8 iris technology suppliers all over the world and won the bidding of India National Iris ID System project with end users of 1.2 billion. 
About the event

The Executive Global MSc Management programme is visiting Beijing for its overseas module as part of the 17 month programme (www.lse.ac.uk/egmim). Their module combines lectures, company visits, networking events and guest speakers. The class consists of 47 ambitious, career driven managers, directors and executives from all over the world and from very diverse backgrounds, with up to 20 years of work experience.  The group are joined by two faculty members from the Department of Management, Professor Saul Estrin and Dr Christine Cote, along with guest lecturer Danny Shapiro.
The event is a platform to meet and network with executive students, faculty and staff of the School's Department of Management, as well as the alumni body over a buffet dinner and drinks! Come along and catch up with old friends and make new ones!
