LSE is deeply grateful for the support given by corporations and individuals supporting research and teaching on the social sciences. LSE is committed to extending our engagement with Japan's leading social scientists, thought-leaders and policy-shapers in defining solutions for the world's most pressing economic, political and social issues. Below are a sample of the support LSE has received from Japan
Suntory and Toyota - It was with the generous support and a shared vision on Japan's global role that Mr Eiji Toyoda (Toyota) and Mr Keizo Saji (Suntory) provided the financial support to create the Suntory Toyota International Centres for Economics and Related Disciplines (STICERD) at LSE in 1978. Toyota and Suntory have continued their generous support for the Centres in the ensuing decades.
Mizuho Securities - In 2014 LSE initiated its relationship with Mizuho Securities and the Mizuho Financial Group. With the support of Mizuho LSE has hosted a series of events in London and Tokyo.
