Aims and Objectives

This course offers an introduction to related theories regarding public and nonprofit organizations and management. It shall guide the students to understand the practical operation of the public and nonprofit organizations and train the students to have the technique and ability to manage public organizations.

Course Contents

Specifically, this course will provide each student with:

●conceptual frameworks to understand behavior in the work setting

●focal topics addressing effective management of people in organizations

●introduction to theories on individuals, groups and the organization including motivation, decision making, leadership, organizational structure and strategy issues

●time and space to reflect on professional experiences and relate to course material
