Accounts and Passwords Guidance

All students and staff at LSE are provided with an IT account which allows you to log in to the LSE network. Below is all of our available guidance on getting started with your IT account, changing your passwords and guidance for visitors to LSE wishing to use IT facilities.

Once you have activated your IT account, you should set your security questions in LSE for You so you can reset your password if you forget it.

Our orientation pages collect useful information for new starters:

By accessing or using the IT facilities at LSE or in residences, you agree to our Conditions of Use:

For questions regarding email expiry after graduation, see our Email Online Guides and FAQs.

For questions regarding alumni accounts, please visit LSE Advancement.

There is limited PC access for visitors to the LSE Library.

Visitors working for, or affiliated with, an LSE department can request access to IT facilities through that department. A request must be submitted to the IT Service desk at least 10 days before the accounts are required. See 3. I am a visitor. How do I apply to use IT facilities at LSE?
