Using the Value Loaders

Introduction

You can add credit online, or you can pay by cash by visiting the Library Copy Shop during their opening hours and paying over the counter. You can also add credit with coins or notes by using one of the value loaders on campus.

Value loaders are located on the lower ground floor and ground floor Copy Shop in the Library. All value loaders take notes and £2, £1, 50p, 20p, 10p and 5p coins.

Using a value loader

Note: To use a value loader, if you are a first time user you will need to associate your LSE ID card with your LSE username and password using one of the MFDs located around campus.

1. Tap your LSE ID card on the square black panel that obtrudes from the value loader, this is located on the upper left.
2. Your current balance will be shown on the LED display.
3. Enter coins or notes until the desired balance is reached. The display will update your balance as coins are deposited into the value loader.
4. Press the D Button to complete your deposit.

Faults or problems using a value loader should be reported to the IT Help Desk on extension 6728 or by emailing it.helpdesk@lse.ac.uk or to the Copy Shop located on the ground floor of the library.
