Online Printing Payment

Introduction

Online printing payment makes use of the LSE wallet. This is a virtual wallet into which you transfer money from your own bank account using the secure internet payment service WorldPay and your credit or debit card. You can then move credit from your LSE Wallet to your printing account in order to pay for printing.

Once in your printing account, credit can only be used to pay for print services.

Key terms and conditions

  • This application is limited to the LSE network (wired or wireless, on campus and in residences) and via the remote desktop from offsite.
  • Only LSE students can access this service.
  • Once money has been transferred to your student printing account from your LSE Wallet IT CANNOT BE REFUNDED. Please bear this in mind and only transfer small amounts, particularly towards the end of the academic year. 
  • Refunds from the LSE Wallet can only happen in exceptional circumstances and are dealt with and authorised by LSE Finance division.
  • The payment system is cross-browser compatible and performs best with Javascript enabled.  

What you need

  • An LSE student IT account.
  • An LSE Wallet - set up an LSE Wallet.
  • A personal credit or debit card account for transferring funds.

How it works

  • Login to your LSE student printing account and request credit.
  • If you have enough funds in your LSE Wallet, credit will be transferred to your student printing account.
  • If you do not have enough funds in your LSE Wallet, you will need to transfer money from your own bank account first, using the secure internet payment service WorldPay and your credit or debit card.

Logging in to your online print account

To log in to your online print account:
1. Log in at the LSE Authentication Service|


2. Enter your LSE network username and password and click on Login. The main screen for the Student Printing Service will be displayed, showing your current printing balance.

From here you can:

  • check your print history with the account tab
  • add credit to your account with the topup tab.

 

 

Adding credit to your account

To add credit:

1. Ensure the Topup tab is selected.

2. Enter the amount you would like to transfer from your LSE Wallet.

3. Click on the Start Top-up button.

You will be transferred to the LSE Wallet payment system.

  • If you do not have enough credit in your LSE Wallet, the Top Up Wallet screen will be displayed - continue here 
  • If you have enough credit in your LSE Wallet, the Payment Request screen will be displayed - continue below.

If you have enough credit in your LSE Wallet

If you have enough credit in your LSE Wallet, the Payment Request screen will be displayed.

 

To complete the transfer:
1. Enter your LSE network password and click on Pay to transfer the credit from your LSE Wallet to your student printing account.

You will be automatically transferred back to Student Printing Service page, where your printing account balance has been updated:

The amount you have transferred to your printing account has been withdrawn from your LSE Wallet. This transaction will be listed in the LSE Wallet Payments Service on the My Transactions screen.

The transfer is now complete and you can use the credit in your printing account to pay for printing. 

If you do not have enough credit in your LSE Wallet

If you do not have enough credit in your LSE Wallet, the Top Up Wallet screen will be displayed.

You will need to transfer money from your own bank account into your LSE Wallet, using the secure internet payment service WorldPay and your credit or debit card.

To transfer money into your LSE Wallet:
1. Enter the amount you wish to transfer from your bank account to your LSE Wallet>
If you wish, you can also enter a note to identify the transaction.

2. Click on Pay at Worldpay to begin the payment transfer. You will be taken to the WorldPay website.

3. On WorldPay's secure payment page, select the amount you wish to transfer and click on the appropriate icon to choose your payment method. You will be now be prompted to enter card and cardholder details.

4. Enter the details for your credit or debit card as well as your own details.

5. Click on MAKE PAYMENT when you are finished. Successful transactions will be confirmed on screen and by email.

6. Click on the link to return to the LSE Wallet. You now have enough credit to complete the transfer| to your student printing account.

Troubleshooting

This service has been thoroughly tested, but in the event that you encounter a problem, or you receive an error crediting your printing account online, contact the IT Help Desk| in the first instance.
