Information Management and Technology provides Telephone equipment and services on campus and to the halls of residence. Services include local and long distance calling, telephone equipment, installation and maintenance.


Every telephone in halls of residence has a voice mailbox by default; however, School staff must request a voice mailbox by emailing| . Once we have configured voice mail you can also receive email notification of voicemail| in plain text format or by WAV sound file attachments.

We can also provide a voicemail service for all guests and during the Easter and summer vacations (including all student residents). For more information, see our telecoms online guides and FAQs|.


Audio conferencing

We use MCI Conferencing to provide an audio conferencing services. We will send you a special authentication code that will allow you to take part in an audio conference from any part of the world.


Instant Meeting Service

Instant Meeting Service is an on-demand audio conferencing| product, ideal for small staff meetings or spontaneous events. No booking is required and the service is available 24/7.



Information Management and Technology provide staff with a telephone handset for desks or communal areas. We also provide a handset in each student hall of residence room. Our telephone system provides an extensive range of facilities such as call transfer, call holding and group pick-up.


Telephone Directory

You can access the LSE telephone directory| via the LSE website. It provides links to the LSE staff directory by department| or by staff surname|, the LSE student halls telecoms site|, the Students’ Union ‘who’s who’| and other helpful business directories.
