In this section you will find information on using the online room booking system, Resource Booker, to book staff and music society rooms.
For guidance and policy on booking rooms, please see the Room Booking website
If you have any queries regarding room bookings, please email lse.roombookings@lse.ac.uk
To request the Music Practice Room (MPR) you must be an LSE student or staff member of the LSESU Music Society.
If you are not yet a Music Society member or MPR user there are two steps to take
-
Join the LSESU Music Society at the ARC in the Saw Swee Hock Building
-
Once you are a member, email lse.roombookings@lse.ac.uk to request access to book the MPR online.
Allow time to be set up as a user: this can take approximately a week at peak times.
1) Log into Resource Booker: https://mybookings.lse.ac.uk/ Using Chrome or Firefox browsers will give a better experience than Internet Explorer
2) Following the instructions in the quick start guide, make your request (you’ll receive an automated email when the request has been made)
3) The Room Bookings team will then check the request and either confirm the booking or reject it (if it doesn't fit the rules of MPR) - This will usually be within one working day.
4) You’ll receive a confirmation email or cancellation email (with a follow up email to indicate why the request was rejected)
5) You’ll be able to check your bookings on Resource Booker on the ‘My Bookings” tab, they will also show on the Daily List Report and the Room Door Report.
1) The rules for the MPR are as follows: you can only book one one-hour slot on any given day, and only on dates up to 14 days in advance. Any requests which do not fit these rules will be rejected by Room Bookings.
2) You do not have the room booked until you have received a Confirmation email.
Please allow us notice to receive and process your request: this will take at least one working day so do not make requests overnight for the following day, and at weekends, any requests made will not be confirmed until the next working day.
Our office hours for checking requests are 1000 to 1700 Monday to Friday, and requests will only be processed during these hours.
3) It is vital that you put your name in the title you give the booking – follow the format “Music Practice Room – Your Name” this is so that you can identify your booking on the Room Door Reports at the doors of the Shaw Library, and so the Reception team can easily spot your name on the Daily List if you are practicing late at night or at weekends.
If you have any technical questions or feedback about the system, or encounter any problems using it, please email Imt.Rats.Project@lse.ac.uk
