What is the Room Booking and Timetabling System project?
The IT system which manages teaching timetables and room bookings is being replaced by a new system, Resource Booker. The aim is to provide a much improved user experience for both students and colleagues across the School.
Why are we doing this?
The introduction of Resource Booker will mean that you should enjoy a more intuitive, web-based interaction with the system allowing you to book rooms and see your bookings from your PC or mobile devices. The My Timetable app which is another part of the service, will allow students to view their personal timetables in other calendars including Outlook and Google.
While we were looking to launch both in time for the start of the 2015-16 academic year, integration problems have unfortunately delayed the new applications. We will be providing regular updates on the project and system developments here.

Project Updates
August 2016
Resource Booker has been extended to enable staff to book further rooms around campus. Staff are now able to book small committee rooms for meetings, small teaching rooms, medium teaching rooms, computer teaching rooms, and the catering rooms such as the Senior Common Room for evening receptions and dinners. In addition, student societies are able to book study spaces in 32 Lincoln’s Inn Field, and the Music Society members can book the Music Practice Room.
You can access the system via the following link: https://mybookings.lse.ac.uk or on the Apps drop down tab on the LSE Home Page . Please note, it is best to open this system in Chrome, Internet Explorer 11 or Firefox as there are some performance issues with other browsers. If you have not booked a room before, or see No Resources Available once you’ve logged in then you will need to email Lse.Roombookings@lse.ac.uk to request access to book rooms.
Although the portal has been designed to be very easy to use, you can find a user guide at the Help and Support section of this web site, and if you have any questions or issues with using the system, please email IMT.Rats.Project@lse.ac.uk
The project team are continuing to develop the portal to improve its usability for both you and the Room Bookings Team. If you would like to send feedback on the system, please contact the project team on IMT.Rats.Project@lse.ac.uk.

Please note that Resource Booker is now showing availability for rooms for academic year 2016/17. The number of rooms available to book will be restricted until the timetabling process has been completed and all remaining availability released to the Room Bookings Team, which will be around the end of September 2016.
The Room Bookings team will continue to manually handle requests for other rooms, so if you wish to submit a request for a room for 2016/17 that is not yet bookable via Resource Booker please complete the online form and email it to Lse.Roombookings@lse.ac.uk. Users can log into Resource Booker at http://mybookings.lse.ac.uk/ to see bookings made on behalf of them by the team.
Room Bookings
The new online room booking portal has been developed so that users can search and request room bookings themselves. Resource Booker also has a number of benefits for users including being easy to use on your mobile devices, being able to see your bookings on a calendar view, and having your room booking notifications stored in the application (you will also receive email notifications as you do now).
The link to Resource Booker is in the list of applications available on the Apps menu on the front page of the LSE website.
Although the new room booking portal has been designed to be very user friendly, the project team has put together a user guide which you can find on this site under Help and Support. You can also contact the project team at IMT.Rats.Project@lse.ac.uk if you have any questions on using the portal.
For guidance on using Resource Booker to book staff and music society rooms, please see the Online Room Booking Guidance webpage.
Timetabling System
The new timetabling system will come with a new application that students can download called MyTimetable. The MyTimetable app can be downloaded onto various devices such as tablets, smartphone and laptops and will show you your timetable in real time. This app will also register users for automatic notifications to alert them to changes to upcoming timetable events. The launch of this app has been put on hold due to its dependency on the delivery of the student allocator component of Syllabus Plus which is due to go live in September 2016.
Users can still use LSE for You (LfY) to check their timetables.
If you have any questions regarding the new room booking system please contact the project team at IMT.Rats.Project@lse.ac.uk
