LSE Annual Fund 2016/17
The LSE Annual Fund, the School’s regular giving programme, raises unrestricted funds from alumni and friends of LSE for the discretionary use of the School to benefit students, faculty and the wider LSE community. Staff and their departments can benefit from Annual Fund giving via our tickbox option for donors, where they have the option to direct their gift towards Student Support, Teaching and Research Excellence, LSE Student Life, Strategic Initiatives and Academic Departments. Past examples of funding from the Annual Fund for staff projects include the Literary Festival, the Women’s Library, Scholars at Risk, IGA’s Global Migration Initiative and numerous research conferences.
Gifts towards Strategic Initiatives and Teaching and Research Excellence are allocated centrally by the Senior Management Committee, and administered via Finance Division, to successful faculty/staff applications for funding.
LSE staff are invited to submit applications to the Strategic Initiatives and Teaching and Research Excellence streams of the Annual Fund using the form here. Applications and queries should be directed to the Head of Directorate Office, Selina Hannaford. SMC will consider proposals twice a year, with an initial deadline of 11th December 2016 and a second deadline of 29th April 2017.
