MSc Global Politics, 2011
Communication and Project Manager, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries
After graduating from LSE I returned to Israel, settled in Tel-Aviv, and decided to join the advertising world as a first step in my way to get into the private sector. I was offered a job at Saatchi & Saatchi – Israel as an account executive. After 3 months, I was promoted into the strategy department as a strategic planner. About 18 months later, I joined Adama Agricultural Solution Inc. (the world's largest maker of generics of agro chemical pesticide) as a communication specialist. I worked closely with the CEO of that company, and after 6 months he was offered the role of the President and CEO of Teva Pharmaceutical Solutions, which is the largest Israeli company, and the world's largest maker of generic pharmaceuticals. He asked me to join him and I now work for Teva as a communication and project manager.
I love the energy, the fast paced atmosphere, the fact that it's a global company that operates in more than 60 markets, that I get to study new things every day and that it gives me the option to develop my business skills. My responsibilities include supporting Teva's global President & CEO in preparing, researching and processing communication, marketing and business related materials for various purposes; leading the President & CEO’s internal communication channels in cooperation with Teva’s corporate communication division; taking an active role in cross-company processes that aim to shape Teva for the future as a global leader
My career path has not developed as planned at all. While at LSE I was an enthusiastic journalist, covering London news for a large Israeli newspaper. It was actually London, with its exciting atmosphere and it's being an international business hub that pushed me into the business sector. I’m happy that I was flexible enough to go with the flow and to explore any interesting opportunity sticking to a planned career path.
LSE is a truly amazing place and the academic programmes are extremely interesting. But look around you too: the students that sit with you in your class most probably have amazing stories, life wisdom and some might carry opportunities with them that you can't even imagined. Also, LSE offers many events, fairs, societies, and more. Take advantage of it as much as you can.
LSE opened my eyes to the world, taught me that we are all connected in one global world, and helped me create connections and friendships that serve me to this day. I met my best friend at LSE and had the best year of my life, I learned a lot, was exposed to many different views and perspectives and I developed a much more global outlook.
