Why did you choose LSE, and why did you choose your programme of study?

I was attracted to study at the LSE by its excellent global reputation amongst employers as well as the highly ranked Geography and Environment department.

Overall, how do you look back on your LSE experience?

A once in a lifetime chance to learn, develop and be influenced by leaders of their respective fields as well develop a global network of friends for life

How has LSE Careers supported you?

During my time at the LSE, I undertook an internship at Barnardo's, the UK's largest children's charity, in their Finance function. The LSE Careers Service helped me structure and refine my CV before my interview which helped me secure the position. Since joining Deloitte I have also started to study towards my CIMA Chartered Management Accountant qualification.

Why did you choose your current job?

I chose to pursue a career in Consulting as it gave me the opportunity to work across and gain experience in a large number of industries and sectors.

What does your current role involve?

I'm a Consultant within the Strategy & Operations practice at Deloitte focusing on transforming clients internal Finance function. We support companies CFO's in delivering change, solving problems and driving innovation within their Finance functions.

What advice do you have for LSE students who are looking to enter a similar profession to you?

Make the most of the excellent Careers Service that LSE has. I attended numerous events, sessions and one to one with the Careers Service and cannot stress how valuable and approachable the team were.
