Why did you choose LSE, and why did you choose your programme of study?

Global reputation, opportunity to attain my degree in a highly international environment and postgraduate career options.

Overall, how do you look back on your LSE experience?

I am extremely pleased and look back on it very fondly. The academics were world class and I believe it prepared me for success in my future career endeavours in a major way.

Since graduation, where did you start your career? How has it developed?

I started at Nordea Bank as a Corporate Trainee on the Strategy team in Wealth Management. From there I became Strategic Partner to Global Head of Asset & Capital Services and was later promoted to Head of Strategy & Planning in the same unit. Most recently I was recruited as Head of Customer Due Diligence for Corporate & Institutions clients, a team of 18 FTE's.

Why did you choose your current job?

It is one of the most quickly changing and developing parts of Banking and growing in importance by the day. It is exciting to be able to have a part in this.

What day-to-day tasks does your current job involve?

My day-to-day consists of many managerial and leadership activities in order to assure I manage my rather large team in a good way. I also spend a good amount of time exploring how our processes can be improved and assuring we are heading in the right direction.

What advice do you have for LSE students who are looking to enter a similar profession to you?

Start thinking about what kind of job you want before you even being at LSE. Take advantage of networking and career events and fairs and invest in speaking to people working in the industry aspire to.
