Finding an opportunity

The Volunteer Centre advertises a wide range of opportunities in charities around London and internationally on LSE CareerHub for you to chose from. Details of the types of projects in the UK under opportunities and projects abroad under International Opportunities.

Step 1

Add to your LSE CareerHub preferences that you are interested in volunteering. This means that you will receive the Volunteer Centre newsletter.

Step 2

Search for opportunities on the vacancy board on LSE CareerHub. Search 'volunteering' as the type of work on the opportunity search. Look up further information about volunteering opportunities, including opportunities at LSE and setting up your own project.

Step 3

Contact the organisations or projects directly that you are interested in. The adverts should include deadlines, application and contact details.

Step 4

Once you have a confirmed volunteering placement contact the Volunteer Centre to let us know what you are doing and if there is anything we can do to help you. If you can't find a placement that is right for you book an appointment with the Volunteer Centre Coordinator.
