Networking and social media for entrepreneurs

There is more to networking than the exchange of business cards. Networking facilitates the development of relationships which can support you in your venture and through which you can provide support to others. The wider and stronger networks that you build, the greater your capacity and opportunity to succeed will become.

Networking among fellow entrepreneurially minded individuals has undergone a revolution in the age of social networks.

However, more specialised forums exist in which to interact with other entrepreneurs: the rise and rise of blogging has resulted in the creation of virtual diaries such as that of Alicia Navarro's Birth of a Startup – which documents her journey in building her own company, Skimlinks.
