LSE is proud to welcome nearly 1,000 US citizens to study each year and has long been a popular choice with students from across the country.
Our alumni have made careers in almost every state, in fields from consultancy to media, finance to research and politics to development. Many return to large cities in New York, California and Massachusetts however destination data from our most recent cohort shows that LSE alumni can be found working in 22 states across the country.
We also have significant numbers who end up in Washington, D.C. in careers focussed on government, lobbying and public policy. Indeed, the number of LSE alumni in the senior team of President Obama's first term was topped only by Harvard.
