Country profiles

world map

LSE students come from 155 different countries and with over 131,000 LSE alumni worldwide, there are LSE graduates working across the globe. According to the most recent graduate destination data, over 50% of recent graduates work in the UK, the rest are based in countries ranging from Azerbaijan to Zambia.

Understanding the jobs market and recruitment methods used in the country you want to work in is important for a successful job search. In this section of the website you will find a selection of 37 different country profiles that LSE students go to work in. These profiles will be helpful whether you are a student looking to find out about opportunities and employers in your home country or an LSE student looking to work outside your home country.

The selection of some of these profiles is based on the numbers of students graduating from or working in these countries. We will be adding to the links on an on-going basis. In the meantime if you want information about a country not listed here then we recommend Going Global which covers around 40 countries, including ones not listed here.

In each profile

Each of the country profiles contain a number of sections to help you with your job search.  As well as an overview and useful links, each country profile contains LSE specific data about organisations that have employed LSE students and the destinations and sectors that graduates have gone to work in. There is also information about LSE alumni networks and student societies as well as LinkedIn groups and country specific vacancy sources.

This should give you some starting points but don’t forget it is not a substitute for conducting your own thorough research.
