Master of International Studies at the Elliott School of International Affairs

LSE and the Elliott School of International Affairs| at The George Washington University| in Washington, DC are pleased to announce that LSE graduate students and recent alumni are now eligible to apply for the Master of International Studies (M.I.S.) degree program. The M.I.S. is a multidisciplinary, academic dual degree program that is designed to complement your studies at LSE with an intensive year in Washington, DC. Students in the MIS program may concentrate on a variety of global issues or regional fields, including conflict resolution, international security studies, international economic affairs, international development, international public health, technology and international affairs, international law and organisations, U.S. foreign policy, Asia, Europe and Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Students may also take advantage of the Elliott School's professional skills curriculum as well as pursue unpaid internships.

Awarded only after all degree requirements at both LSE and the Elliott School are met, the MIS requires one academic year of study. The MIS prepares students for careers in diplomacy and public service, international organizations, multi-national corporations, non-governmental organizations, and journalism.

The application deadline for the MIS program is January 15. GRE scores are recommended, but not required, for applicants from LSE; students should note, however, that GRE scores must be submitted in order for applicants to be considered for fellowships.
