21 May 2008: A major study, co-authored by Andrew Maynard of the Woodrow Wilson Center's Project on Emerging Nanotechnologies (PEN) and published in Nature Nanotechnology, suggests some forms of carbon nanotubes could be as harmful as asbestos if inhaled in sufficient quantities.
