Dr. Chichava is a senior researcher at the Instituto de Estudos Sociais e Económicos (IESE), Mozambique and Lecturer in Political Sociology and Political Studies at Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM), also in Maputo. He obtained is PhD from Institute of Political Studies of Bordeaux, France (2007) and has held fellowships at Oxford University (2008) and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) (2013). He works on Mozambique's relations with rising powers, particularly on China and Brazil. His most recent publications are: China and Mozambique: from comrades to capitalists (Jacana 2014) co-edited with Chris Alden (2014).
Dr. Marco Vieira

Marco Vieira is a Senior Lecturer in International Relations and Doctoral Research Director in the Department of Political Science and International Studies (POLSIS) at the University of Birmingham. His research focuses on the role of emerging South powers in international politics/governance, South-South political cooperation and international relations theory. He has published several peer-reviewed articles in leading journals such as Review of International Studies, Third World Quarterly, Environmental Politics, Foreign Policy Analysis, Global Society and Global Governance. He is the co-author of the book The South in World Politics (Palgrave, 2010).
Dr. Folashadé Soulé-Kohndou

Dr. Folashadé Soulé-Kohndou is a junior lecturer in International Relations and Political Science at Sciences Po. She obtained her PhD at Sciences Po Paris (2014) and has held fellowships at the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA) (2010), the Research and Information System for developing countries (RIS) in New Delhi (2011), the Instituto Rio Banco (IRBr) in Brasilia (2011), the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) (2012) and the University of Oxford (2013). She was a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of International Relations of the London School of Economics in 2015. Her research thematics focus on African agency in global politics, the politics of south-south cooperation, and rising powers in global governance. She has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Foro Internacional, Cahiers des Amériques Latines, Global Governance (upcoming), She is the author of the Book “Puissances émergentes et multilatéralisme: le cas de l’Afrique du Sud » (L’Harmattan, 2010)
