The Global South Unit within the LSE's Department of International Relations facilitates an African Research Fellowship.

Dr. Folashade Soule-kohndou

Dr. Folashade Soule-kohndou is a postdoctoral researcher at the LSE Global South Unit. She obtained her doctoral thesis in political science and international relations at Sciences Po Paris in 2014. Her research investigates, among others, the role of emerging powers groupings in global governance, south-south cooperation /relations, emerging powers and the global aid architecture. She has been an invited PhD researcher at the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA) in Johannesburg, the Rio Branco Institute in Brasilia and the Research and Information System for developing countries (RIS) in New Delhi. While at the Global South unit, Folashadé will investigate the bureaucratic politics of development cooperation negotiation from China by francophone West African countries.
