Dr Tanya Harmer, Associate Professor at the Department of International History, introduces students to the Double MSc International & World Affairs Programme offered by LSE in partnership with Columbia University. This two-year programme covers various modules, including international history, world politics, and international economics. The dissertation allows students to focus on a specific topic. Prospective students should have a relevant undergraduate degree and a passion for the subject. Successful students find work in governmental and private organisations.

Dr Heather Jones, Associate Professor in the Department of International History, introduces students to postgraduate programmes that are offered in partnership with other institutions. These are the LSE-Columbia University Double Degree in International and World History and the LSE-PKU Double Degree in Public Administration and Government, organised jointly by LSE and Peking University. The Department offers three other one-year programmes that examine the history of international relations and colonialism and globalisation. Students can find jobs in the government and in private firms.

Dr Paul Keenan, Associate Professor from the Department of International History, introduces students to the LSE-PKU Double Degree in Public Administration and Government, organised jointly by LSE and Peking University. This is a two-year programme; students finish the first year of their studies in Peking University in China and complete their second year of studies at LSE. The programme offers an insight into the world of public policy and administration in two very different countries. Successful students can go into academia or find jobs in the government and in private firms.
