PfAL@LSE is an extra-curricular leadership-focused programme available exclusively to graduate students of sub-Saharan nationality currently studying at the School. The programme consists of monthly events that aim to educate, challenge and inspire students and to provide an opportunity for them to reflect on their own development as future leaders of African organisations and communities. Sessions will include short talks, Q&As and debates to engage students in the discussion about contemporary issues facing Africa today.
Regular PfAL@LSE social events develop and strengthen new friendships amongst the group, and every student who completes the programme is invited to join the wider PfAL Network and attend future Africa Fora. Students who complete the programme are also presented with a certificate at the final PfAL@LSE event in June each year.
The programme is generously funded by PfAL benefactors, Firoz and Najma Lalji and is therefore free to attend, but students must check their eligibility and submit an application form to be considered for the programme.
