Omar McDoom awarded the Michael Nicholson prize

Omar McDoom (PhD 2009) was awarded the Michael Nicholson prize for best doctoral thesis in the field of International Studies by the British International Studies Association. The thesis is entitled The Micro-Politics of Mass Violence: Authority, Security, and Opportunity in Rwanda's Genocide. Following a post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Politics and International Relations at Oxford University, Omar accepted an appointment as Lecturer in Comparative Politics in the LSE's Government Department.
