My research looks at the broad continuity of counterterrorist operations through the George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump administrations, despite their vastly different foreign policies more generally. In particular, I am interested in official representations of these counterterrorist campaigns and how large parts of the "War on Terror" have become normalised in U.S. politics.
More broadly, I am interested in most parts of U.S. foreign policy during the Trump era. You can find my occasional musings on these topics on LSE US Centre's blog on American Politics and Policy and for LSE Review of Books.
