There are a number of ways you can stay connected with the department and the LSE.

Your relationship with the department shouldn't end once you've completed your degree, so we are currently developing our alumni network.

Email an Alum

The Email an alum service connects you with our former students, giving you the opportunity to hear personally from those with first-hand experience of studying in the department, and who are in a unique position to answer your questions on their experiences prior to, during and since their time at LSE.

Social Media

Alumni are invited to keep in touch with their classmates by joining our ever growing Department of International Development LinkedIn group.

You can also follow our department updates on Facebook and Twitter. Send us your updates and if we can publicize them, we will!

International Development Newsletter

The department circulates a monthly newsletter to current students, staff and to International Development Alumni. This is the perfect place to share LSE and International Development related news. To be added to the mailing list, please contact

Department Blog

We are always keen to include alumni voices within our International Development Blog. You'll see that we have a whole category dedicated to our former students.

So if you want to tell us more about your experiences at LSE, how your degree has shaped your career, or about any recent achievements (publications, etc), please get in touch!

We are looking for graduates who would like to be profiled on our site or speak to us about their careers and experiences since graduating. Please email if you are interested in being involved.

DESTIN Society

The DESTIN Society porganise a number of events through out the academic year and would be delighted for input and involvement from former students. Please contact if you are able to help out.

LSE Alumni Association

LSE has alumni groups around the world and an extensive programme of events in London. Additional benefits include the biannual alumni magazine LSE Connect and access to the Careers Services, the Library, and the Alumni Professional Mentoring Network. For more, see LSE Advancement.
