Authors

  • Sir Colin Budd served in HM Diplomatic Service from 1967-2005,including as Chef de Cabinet to the Vice President of the European Commission; Chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee; Deputy Under Secretary of State (Europe and Economic) of the FCO; and HM Ambassador to the Netherlands from 2001-5.
  • Michael Cox is Founding Director of LSE IDEAS and Emeritus Professor of International Relations at the LSE where he is Academic Director of the Masters in International Strategy and Diplomacy, LSE Summer School, and the LSE-Peking University Summer School in Beijing.
  • Mary Kaldor is Professor of Global Governance and Director of the Civil Society and Human Security Unit at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She has written widely on security issues and on democracy and civil society.
  • Thomas Risse is Professor of International Politics at the Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, and Co-Coordinator of the Research Center ‘Governance in Areas of Limited Statehood’ and of the Research College ‘Transformative Power of Europe’, both funded by the German Research Foundation.
  • John Stevens is a former Conservative MEP, investment banker, and Chairman of EPP UK.
  • Odd Arne Westad is Professor of International History at LSE and Co-Director of LSE IDEAS.
  • Richard Youngs is director of FRIDE and Professor of International Relations at the University of Warwick.
