During his state visit to the UK, Xi Jinping openly restated his concern about the UK’s possible exit from the European Union. China hopes to see a prosperous Europe and a united EU, with strong bilateral ties between China and the UK playing a positive and constructive role in promoting the EU-China strategic partnership. As millions of voters head to the polls this year to decide whether to opt out of the EU, China will be watching the results closely.
This China Foresight - Dahrendorf Forum workshop explored strategic aspects of China-EU relations and how the Brexit debate will impact the newly revived bilateral relationship between Beijing and London.
